Sony Rai leads SvN's affordable housing and student housing initiatives, transforming housing projects into complete communities through thoughtful design and technical precision. With two decades of architectural experience spanning academic, residential, and commercial projects across multiple geographic locations, he brings comprehensive expertise to every stage of development.

Sony's portfolio includes work with prestigious higher education clients such as the University of Toronto, University of British Columbia, and Drexel University in Philadelphia. He served as project architect for LEED Gold certified health sciences and LEED Silver candidate Student Union buildings in New Mexico, and has designed residential projects throughout Ontario, including high-rises, mid-rises, townhomes, and a 700-bed student residence.

As Principal at SvN, he is currently focused on integrated housing innovation managing complex projects involving multiple community members and stakeholders for market housing, affordable housing, and seniors living facilities.. His expertise spans user group consultation, early design development, approvals processes, construction documentation, and on-site contract administration. Sony's commitment to thoughtful, technically sound, and well-detailed buildings ensures successful delivery of multi-residential, affordable, and market rental projects from concept through completion.
