AIA, MRAIC, LEED® AP, CPHD

Aaron Budd leads SvN's Regenerative Practice, pioneering how architecture and urban environments co-evolve with natural systems. As a creative thinker, pragmatic designer, and environmental champion with over two decades of experience, he bridges architectural design with environmental analysis and technical knowledge to deliver climate-positive solutions.

Aaron brings together the firm's architects, landscape architects, planners, and urban designers through a unique design process developing zero-carbon, circular, and resilient communities. His approach delivers design solutions that balance environmental performance with livability. His current SvN projects include net-zero carbon rental and affordable housing projects, the design of transit-oriented communities, an ecological restoration- and conservation-focused development in the Bahamas, and a mass-timber building in Collingwood.

Aaron began his career in Toronto, followed by global experience in Ghana, Indonesia, the Philippines, France, New York, and London. He worked with Quadrangle Architects in Toronto, Randolph Croxton in New York City, and Foster+Partners in London. Aaron holds a Master's of Sustainable Environmental Design and Bachelor of Architectural Science, bringing both technical expertise and international perspective to regenerative design challenges.
